The Infinite Rise of the LLL.com
Apologies to all my readers but March has been quite a bad month for my health so hopefully I`ll update the Blog every few days like before.
Let`s start April with a deeper look at the last 4 months of reported sales for the LLL.com category, one of the top niches in the domain market.
dda.com $28,350 2008-03-25 moniker.com
bce.com $28,001 2008-03-21 SEDO.com
wfk.com $8,880 2008-03-20 AfterNic.com

gvq.com $9,202 2008-03-05 SEDO.com
qud.com $18,500 2008-03-04 SEDO.com
edo.com $25,277 2008-03-03 SEDO.com
ple.com $18,985 2008-03-02 SEDO.com

zty.com $6,100 2008-02-28 SEDO.com
aux.com $30,000 2008-02-27 snapnames
rxl.com $8,100 2008-02-27 SEDO.com
zps.com $30,500 2008-02-27 AfterNic.com

dfl.com $24,500 2008-02-27 SEDO.com
wvf.com $12,413 2008-02-15 SEDO.com
fnu.com $15,502 2008-02-13 SEDO.com
ilu.com $20,000 2008-02-12 SEDO.com
It`s starting to feel like an elite club for the LLL.com holders as prices continu to climb and we are starting to see already just very rarely ANY LLL.com going for less than $10,000.
Not to mention that when they are also Dictionary words or popular acronyms , their value starts really to take off:
via.com $157,500 2007-12-06 SEDO.com
our.com $60,000 2007-12-06 SEDO.com
nis.com $71,000 2007-11-20 SEDO.com
cab.com $110,000 2007-10-31 drt auction
guy.com $150,000 2007-10-31 SEDO.com
rcs.com $95,000 2007-10-31 SEDO.com
otv.com $110,000 2007-10-24 AfterNic.com
And on another note :
Higher LLL.com sales prices will push up LLLL.com sales prices and…
Higher LLLL.com sales prices will push up LLLL.net sales prices…
It`s certainly a very interesting market.
For who is interested in purchasing one of these HOT eProperties, www.GreatDomains.com (owned by Sedo) runs a monthly Premium auction where normally a few of them can be found. The last auction is currently ending within few hours and there are quite a nice pack of 11 LLL.com (some already met their reserves and some have traffic too):
drt.com
bfo.com
ctr.com
xel.com
jit.com
sry.com
djl.com
jfu.com
ncj.com
tyl.com
vyi.com

There are some really nice prices there. These domains are just going to go up and up. I think the rise of all short domains (LLL, LLLL and L-L-L) will follow the same pattern with steady year on year increases. Despite these high prices it is still not too late to make profit from buying 3 letter .com, in my opinion.

Well out of 25 reported 11 sold for less than 10k, that’s almost a half.
Though I agree that prices will definitely go up, especially for better letters and acronyms. Lowest quality names of less potential to find an enduser will probably increase in price a lot less…
Hi Oskars,
well, ok , let`s have a look at these 11 cheapest of the last 4 months:
zty.com $6,100 2008-02-28 SEDO.com
wqh.com $6,400 2008-03-06 SEDO.com
egz.com $7,300 2008-03-06 SEDO.com
qwc.com $7,501 2008-03-05 SEDO.com
rxl.com $8,100 2008-02-27 SEDO.com
exf.com $8,100 2008-03-08 SEDO.com
klq.com $8,657 2008-03-01 SEDO.com
wfk.com $8,880 2008-03-20 AfterNic.com
wfz.com $9,078 2008-02-28 SEDO.com
xws.com $9,078 2008-02-28 SEDO.com
gvq.com $9,202 2008-03-05 SEDO.com
So we had:
Only 2 under $7,000
Only 2 under $8,000
4 between 8,000 and $9,000
3 Above $9,000
If you see a huge difference between $10,000 and $9,000 ….I understand your point. But as I said even for the rare ones below $10,000 it`s just a matter of few months before they become even harder to find and just look at the quality of the letters too.
Best regards,
ItalianDragon
